We have a $250 minimum. While we can produce the
chrome appearance you are looking for we can make no guarantees on
durability. We must know if the part material can withstand 165F or
we can’t apply the protective topcoat. We use an automotive urethane
clear coat to protect the coating. The durability is similar to an
automotive paint system, and should be maintained as such, but
cannot be pressure washed or scrubbed with abrasive materials.
Colored chrome can have a slight variation in shade. There is a
certain amount of debris inherent in the process due to dust and
debris in the air. The process uses a basecoat to build a coating
for the metalizing to adhere to. If there are contaminants on the
part such as grease, oil, adhesives, etc they are going to affect
the adhesions and/or the appearance of the coating. Also any
scratches, dings, blisters, or texture in the part will show
through the coating. Lead-time and pricing will be determined when
job arrives and is evaluated. If you have any questions please email
info@muellercorp.com.
